Students may begin between January 15 and April 15. Students have until June 15th to complete the course.
Class includes 10 assignments with personal feedback on each assignment.
Each Monday Katy will email assignment and the student will return it by Friday.
Each student who completes the course will receive a certificate for their portfolio.
Each student may submit 10 manuscript pages for critique.
Elements of Story $99.00
Grades 2-10
Introduces basic story elements and how to weave them together gracefully. Assignments include studies in Genesis - Revelation. How God introduces setting, the characters, the problem, conflict and the solution in His Story. We will also learn story analysis.
Let's Get Real $99.00
Grades 6-12 (Prerequisite, Elements of Story)
How do great writers create great characters? Setting? Plot? This course goes deeper into the mind and emotions of your characters and teaches you how to draw the reader in.
The Ugly First Draft $125.00
Grades 8-12
This course is for older writers who already have a working knowledge of plot. This will be all about rolling up our sleeves, cutting the chaff and honing the good stuff.
Students taking this course should have a rough draft completed.
